2 Browns players cited for drag on Tuesday morning

A few days after the Cleveland Browns won a playoff spot for the first time since 2002, things appear to be falling apart in the franchise that is entering the wild card game against rivals Pittsburgh Steelers of AFC North.

First, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge, Pro Bowl keeper Joel Bitonio and two other officials tested positive for COVID-19 and they will miss Sunday’s game against the Steelers. And now, two other players – rookie left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. and wideout Rashard Higgins – were both cited for the drag race on Tuesday morning.

The quotes took place in Westlake, Ohio, which is 10 miles away from the Browns’ practice facilities. Both Wills Jr. and Higgins were stopped before 9:30 am and each paid $ 124 tickets, according to the service report released by Westlake police. Another report stated that the police searched for probable cause for suspecting a marijuana cart in one of the vehicles.

Wills was choice number 10 in the NFL 2020 Draft, and he started on all but one game this season. Higgins, on the other hand, emerged as a solid target for quarterback Baker Mayfield, since wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suffered an injury at the end of the season earlier this year.

The Browns ended the regular season of 2020 with a record 11-5, which ended the longest NFL playoff drought.
