“Do you want me to get you a shovel?”
2021 has only a few days, but we have an initial candidate for the most embarrassing video of the year.
A Canadian pirate caught in the act failed to get very far in his escape vehicle after trapping himself in a pile of snow – right in front of his victims.
The noteworthy video shows the moment when the owner opens the front door in Mississauga, Ontario, to catch the man in the act of stealing a package.

“It is done. You are done,” cries the owner of the house behind him as he runs down the sidewalk to the waiting car, which he has unabashedly parked on the property.
Giving a shy “I’m sorry!” he jumps into the driver’s seat, backs up the car and makes a hasty retreat – or so he wished.
Sweet justice …

The Toyota Yaris retreats over a snow embankment that has been removed from the garage … and remains there.
The pirate accelerates and accelerates the tiny front-wheel drive, but as hard as he tries, the escape car is not going anywhere.
“The police are coming,” shouts the owner of the house behind him. “Call the police quickly,” he says to his wife.

But it doesn’t have to be fast.
The would-be pirate jumps out of the car and repeatedly tries to free the car, while the family watches his pathetic attempts to escape the scene by dragging.
As he runs to and from the front wheels and steering wheel, the owner of the house even begins to feel sorry for the unfortunate thief, even offering him a play shovel.
But the wheels keep turning uselessly and the engine keeps turning uselessly, the full videos show.
“It’s front-wheel drive … you need to put the wheels on the ground,” the man even advises him, now genuinely looking sorry for him.
In the end, his assault was unsuccessful. The video shows the police finally showing up and dragging him out of the car – who never made it out of the rut.
