2021 has just begun, but it looks like this year could be a big problem for the Xbox team. To accompany many of the releases we already know, a notable face in Microsoft’s gaming division has recently started to say that this year will also bring with it a series of surprises.
On Twitter today, Aaron Greenberg of Xbox wished fans a happy 2021 before starting to talk about what the company has in store for the year. Greenberg pointed specifically to Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2, and the upcoming acquisition of Bethesda as some of the most notable moments that Xbox planned for 2021, but it also indicated that some “more surprises” are also in store. “So much to wait for!” Greenberg said to end his message.
Happy 2021 to everyone, I hope you all had a good vacation break. I’m incredibly excited about the year ahead for the Xbox, from the acquisition of Bethesda / Zenimax to events / game programs and new releases like Psychonauts 2, Halo Infinite and more surprises. So much to wait for! 🥳💚🙅🏼♂️🎮

While it is not known exactly what these surprises Greenberg is causing, the most obvious assumption involves further revelations of the game. Only last year, Xbox Game Studios has released new titles such as Fable, Declared, Perfect Dark, and State of Decay 3 among others, but there is no indication that the publisher will slow down. In fact, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has in the past expressed that the Microsoft team has so many games coming up that the company won’t be able to be silent for long without divulging what it has in store.
