Find a pharmacy
Only 107 pharmacies across the state will have doses of the vaccine for residents 70 and older. You can find a map of these pharmacies, along with their phone numbers and websites, by clicking here.
Schedule an appointment
Patients can call the pharmacy or go to the pharmacy website to make an appointment. They should not go to pharmacies without one. LDH spokesman Aly Neel said pharmacies need to be able to track each dose administered and do not want long lines to form during a pandemic.
Be patient
The state has only 10,500 doses of Moderna vaccine to deliver to pharmacies, and about 640,000 people can receive them immediately. This means that demand is likely to exceed supply. The state says pharmacies are already flooded with connections and stressed people must be patient.
Visit website
Patients can also access covidvaccine.la.gov to obtain the state’s list of pharmacies and their contact information. However, people cannot make an appointment through the state website and must contact the pharmacy directly.
