Slack’s 2021 didn’t have a great start.

The new year didn’t start well, at least for Slack. The workplace messaging platform was shut down for more than three hours on Monday, which prevented some users from sending messages or connecting to the service.
Slack went back to work for many people at around 10 am PT, although the company said on its status page that it was still working to fully resolve the issues and that some customers “may experience degraded performance”.
The company confirmed the outage with a post on its status page at 7:14 am Pacific time. “Customers may have trouble loading channels or connecting to Slack at this time,” wrote the company. “Our team is investigating and we will follow up with more information as soon as we have it. We apologize for any interruptions caused.”

It is not clear what caused the disruption or when normal service will be fully restored. “We are continuing to investigate connection issues for customers and have updated the incident on our part to reflect a service disruption, the company posted at 8:20 am Pacific time.” ”
A Slack spokesman pointed to the Twitter account @SlackStatus for updates.
Slack is in the process of being acquired by commercial software giant Salesforce for $ 27.7 billion, a deal announced in December.
The outage quickly propelled Slack to the top of Twitter’s Trending Topics in the United States on Monday, when people flocked to the social media site to share their ideas.
why slowness has the same energy as when teachers didn’t show up for class in high school and someone said “legally we can leave if they don’t show up in 15 minutes”
