Miya Ponsetto, SoHo Karen, who falsely accused a black teenager of stealing her iPhone and then attacked him, went crazy with the police when she was arrested last year by DUI.
NYPD detectives
As we reported, Mia and her mother, Nicole, were charged with another crime last year that involved being drunk in public – more on that in a minute. But, ON THE DAY AFTER Miya was accused, the police saw her in Malibu driving erratically and stopped her.
Police sources tell TMZ … Miya went through an altered state, saying she had taken a Xanax and drank some wine. The cops asked her to get out of her Range Rover, and that’s when the madness started.
We are told that when she left, the police said they wanted to take a sobriety test, which she categorically refused and the police say she was totally belligerent. Our sources say the police tried to handcuff her, but she resisted and then took her to the floor.
At that point, the police say that Miya gave a freak, kicking the floor, hitting the body and even hitting the head on the floor.
As we reported, she was taken to prison and reserved for DUI. She did not contest and received 3 years probation, 30 hours of community service and is required to take a 9 month alcohol / drug counseling program.

As you know, Miya was at a fancy New York hotel last month when she realized she didn’t have her iPhone and immediately focused on the 14-year-old son of a Grammy-winning musician, Keyon Harold, who was holding an iPhone, accusing the child to steal your phone. She attacked Keyon Jr. and the New York cops now want to talk to her.
It turns out that she seems to have problems with hotels, because at the beginning of last year she and her mother were at the Peninsula hotel in Bev Hills, where employees asked in vain to leave after looking drunk. The cops arrived, Miya’s mother Nicole allegedly pushed and kicked a cop. The mother was arrested for assaulting a police officer and for being drunk in public. Miya was also arrested for being drunk in public. They pleaded not guilty and will have a hearing next month.

Miya since leaving NYC and went back to her LA home … where she doesn’t seem very sorry about the whole thing.
