Images of the optional Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra stylus and compatible case leak in advance

Images of what appears to be an S Pen and carrying case for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 Ultra were leaked online, WinFuture reports. They show a stylus that looks similar to Samsung’s previous S Pens, as well as a slightly wider phone case than the device itself to allow space for the optional accessory. WinFuture reports that the pen will be sold separately from the phone for just under € 40 (about $ 49).

This phone case is necessary because it is rumored that the S21 Ultra supports the S Pen, but it’s not supposed to have a dedicated slot to store it, unlike Samsung’s Note devices. The stylus is supposed to be an optional accessory for the S21 Ultra, instead of something that comes in the box like Note phones.

The pen accessory looks a lot like Samsung’s previous S Pen.

Rumors that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will work with the S Pen have been around for at least a month, and Samsung itself even suggested support was on its way when its mobile president TM Roh said the company would add some of the more popular “Galaxy Note” resources ”to other devices in your line. At the end of last month, an FCC filing almost confirmed that pen support was on its way to the next phone.

According WinFuture, the S21 Ultra will support many of the same features as the S Pen of previous Note devices. It will have a pressure sensitive tip, gesture controls using an accelerometer and controls for playing and pausing videos or taking photos remotely.

Reports of stylus support coming to the S21 Ultra coincided with rumors that Samsung was preparing to discontinue its note line, which has stylus support among its defining features. However, this was contested by a Samsung employee.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra should be one of the three devices that will be part of the S21 line, alongside the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus. In addition to pen support, other reports say the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s rear camera suite will include two telephoto cameras, as well as a 108-megapixel main camera. Leaked video teasers suggest that it will have a curved screen (compared to flat screens for the other two S21 devices) and redesigned camera collision compared to the previous generation S20 Ultra, and WinFuture previously reported, it will have a 6.8 inch 120 Hz screen and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45 W fast charging.

Samsung has confirmed that its next Unpacked launch event will take place on January 14, during which the announcement of the new Galaxy S21 line and possibly a new Tile competitor is expected alongside the leaky Galaxy Buds Pro wireless headphones. .
