The New York Giants are crying after watching the Philadelphia Eagles pull out for the Washington Football Team on Sunday. Moving to the end of Week 17, the Eagles listed 10 participants with injuries or COVID problems.
To make matters worse, coach Doug Pederson replaced quarterback Jalen Hurts with reserve Nate Sudfeld in the second half of the 20-14 loss to Washington.

If the Eagles had won, the Giants would have been crowned champions of the NFC East thanks to the 23-19 victory earlier in the day over the Dallas Cowboys.
While Pederson said he was playing to win, many Giants think the Eagles have plummeted, giving Washington the division title, with several players batting Twitter on Sunday night to vent his frustration:
During the game broadcast on Sunday night, NBC Sports analyst Cris Collinsworth also questioned the move to Hurts Bank: “I couldn’t have done what Philadelphia did.”
However, Giants defender Logan Ryan left the Eagles out of danger, according to Peter King of NBC Sports:
Fifteen minutes after the game, I received veteran Giants DB Logan Ryan on the phone. I hoped he came out with barrels on fire. “I wish I could give you the explosive material you wanted,” said Ryan a few minutes before midnight. “There will be many opinions about whether they were trying to win. You want to play to win, but I don’t play for the Eagles, I don’t train for the Eagles. It’s their team. Winning six games doesn’t give us much right to be upset about it. We haven’t played consistently all year to earn it. “
