If you’re wondering how Samsung plans to compete with Apple’s popular AirPods Pro, we’ve just gotten the definitive proof that new Galaxy Buds are coming soon. And the leak comes straight from Samsung.
As Sammobile discovered over the weekend, Samsung Canada briefly published information about the Galaxy Buds Pro, a pair of wireless headsets that are reportedly being manufactured as competitors to the Apple AirPods Pro. As of this morning (January 3) , the list disappeared, but it was high enough for eagle-eyed buyers to realize that the launch of the new headphones is imminent.
The Galaxy Buds Pro is rumored to be Samsung’s next generation headset. Early features include active noise cancellation, 3D audio to compete with Apple’s spatial audio feature, and an ambient mode to let you hear conversations going on around you. Galaxy Buds Pro may also include support for Dolby Atmos.
The list of Galaxy Buds Pro on the Samsung Canada website contained few features in relation to those features. All the list showed was the product name and model number. We don’t even have a price for the next headphones.
Fortunately, other sources told us what to expect in terms of Galaxy Buds Pro cost. An earlier rumor of Galaxy Buds Pro listed the price at $ 199, which would represent a $ 50 discount on AirPods Pro.
Soon we will be able to find out what features Galaxy Buds Pro will offer and at what price. The new headphones are expected to be launched along with the Galaxy S21 line, and after this story was first published, Samsung has confirmed that it will launch the product on January 14. We hope to see the new phone and Galaxy Buds Pro at this point.
