Kerry Vincent, a judge of Food Network Challenge, died on January 2 of an undisclosed illness. She was 75 years old.
The Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show, a nonprofit organization co-founded by Vincent, announced his death via Facebook.
“It is with great sadness that I must report the death of Kerry Vincent earlier this evening,” said the Facebook post. “Being a very private person when it comes to all things that are not cake, she did not want to disclose her illness to the public. Unfortunately her fight is over, but she will not feel any pain anymore. She will be sorely missed by everyone she touched through the sugar arts as [well] as personally … Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. “
Vincent was a judge in Food Network Challenge from 2006 to 2012, appearing in a total of 75 episodes. In 2014, she hosted Save my bakery, where she helped struggling bakeries. The series had nine episodes. She was also a published author, having written the book Romantic Wedding Cakes in 2002.
The Australian host’s other credits include appearances in The Great Australian Bake Off, Confrontation of Christmas cookies, The best thing I’ve ever eaten and Last position of the cake. She leaves her husband, Doug.
