Senior Household Management Committee member Rodney Davis, R-Ill., Criticized Democrats on Sunday for his decision to build a plexiglass structure in the chamber to allow members who were exposed to COVID-19 to vote for president of the Chamber.
Davis argued that the “lack of communication with the minority” makes the movement “100% political”.
“This is completely against everything we are told during this whole pandemic of home operations,” Davis told reporters on Sunday. “Building such a structure in the darkness of the night, to protect only the votes that President Pelosi needs to be elected, is shameful.”

On Sunday night, Rep. Nancy Pelosi won enough votes to secure her fourth term as mayor, winning 216 votes out of 427 votes cast.
The California Democrat, who has led her House party since 2003 and is the only woman to be a spokeswoman, was widely expected to hold her post. Pelosi received 216 votes to 209 for Congressman Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., Who will again be the minority leader of the chamber.
Pelosi faced five defections from his own party, with Congressman Jared Golden, D-Maine, voting for Illinois Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth, and Congressman Conor Lamb, D-Pa., Voting for the Democratic House Speaker, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, DN .Y.
In addition, Democratic representatives Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey, Abigail Spanberger of Virginia and Elissa of Michigan voted “gifts”.

This is likely to be Pelosi’s last term as mayor, based on his promise to the caucus.
According to Fox News’ Chad Pergram, Republicans will use Pelosi’s word as a key issue in the 2022 midterm vote and turn the votes under his leadership against vulnerable Democrats into a weapon.
