LG has developed a 55-inch transparent OLED display that functions as a partition. A hygienic solution to neutralize the spread of COVID-19.
The technology will be presented at CES 2021 (International Consumer Electronics Show). It was designed to function as a partition for restaurants, where hygiene has been a major concern. In addition to acting as the COVID-19 lock screen, it can also be used as a menu. Sources have suggested that the display will be particularly useful in sushi restaurants, where consumers will be able to see food being placed in front of them while ordering their favorites, without having to speak on the screen. The screen can also be used in smart homes like TVs and on subway trains like windows.
