A Nintendo insider potentially leaks some of the biggest video games in development for the Nintendo Switch in 2021.
Nintendo has been keeping its cards closed lately, choosing to keep most of its upcoming Nintendo Switch projects a secret. However, the company undoubtedly has some great games it plans to launch in 2021, it’s just a matter of what those games are. While Nintendo itself is still silent on its plans for 2021, it is possible that some of the Nintendo Switch games released this year have leaked online.
This potential leak comes from Twitter user PH Brazil, who has accurately leaked some Nintendo news in the past. Although it does not state anything explicitly, PH Brasil shared an image representing four Nintendo franchises with the caption “Feliz 2021”. Then PH Brazil followed up on another tweet from another Nintendo franchise. Many online seem to think that PH Brazil is suggesting that these games or franchises will be presented on the Nintendo Switch in 2021.

The first image is of a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. With 2021 being the 35th anniversary of Zelda franchise, many expect Nintendo to celebrate with major game releases. It seems that there would be no better way to do Zeldamemorable birthday than with Breath of the Wild 2the long-awaited release date.
Meanwhile, the other three franchises in the initial tweet are Splatoon, Metroid, and Fire emblem. It seems a little early for Splatoon 3, so maybe Nintendo has an expansion planned for Splatoon 2. Then again, Nintendo’s support for Splatoon 2 decreased considerably in the past year, so maybe a Splatoon 3 release is guaranteed. As far as Metroid go, it’s possible that the tweet is referencing Metroid Prime 4, but other rumors suggest that the game is still years away. Perhaps PH Brasil is referring to the supposed 2D Metroid game, but this is just speculation at this point.
Fire emblem: three houses just launched in 2019, so it’s a little hard to believe that a new Fire emblem game is already coming to the Nintendo switch. Then again, a new Fire emblem The game tends to be released every two or three years, so maybe that’s exactly what the fans have in store.
And finally PH Brazil referred to the rumor Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes with an image of Dialga. With no added context for these images and tweets, fans shouldn’t attach much importance to them, but it will be interesting to see how close the Switch 2021 game line gets to these images when it’s all said and done.
