One of the biggest issues regarding video games in 2021 revolves around the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and its prospects for launching within the calendar year. Well, according to a potential Nintendo insider, it seems that fans should expect to get their hands on the game before the end of the year.
In a new tweet from a Brazilian streamer who in the past had some holes related to Nintendo, it was proved that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will actually launch this year. This information was released in a message that translated “Happy 2021” alongside images from four Nintendo franchises that the informant seems to believe we will see this year. One of those photos was of Breath of the Wild 2 which appears to be a clear hint of the game’s potential launch window.

Obviously, this information comes with the main caveat that we have no idea if it will be proven. It is not clear whether the insider has specific knowledge of Nintendo’s release plans for Breath of the Wild 2 or if, instead, it is just your own estimate of what could be launched in 2021. With that in mind, consider this whole situation with a grain of salt.
What we know for sure about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 at the moment is that, well, it’s in development – that’s what it’s about. Nintendo hasn’t said anything about the long-awaited sequel since it first revealed it at E3 2019. The whole of 2020 has come and gone without Nintendo giving us any new details about the game, which is a bit boring. So while it doesn’t seem out of the question that BOTW 2 could launch this year, there is still a lot to learn about it.
