Grafton’s neighbors react to the arrest of a pharmacist accused of destroying doses of the COVID-19 vaccine

GRAFTON, Wisconsin – Neighbors are demonstrating while a Grafton pharmacist remains in custody tonight on allegations that he purposely allowed hundreds of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to spoil.

TMJ4 News is not naming him because he has not been formally charged.

“I just saw some policemen surrounding the house. They’ve been here for a long time, ”said Drew Windsor, a neighbor who saw the police in the area when the pharmacist was taken into custody.

Grafton’s quiet neighborhood is in national spotlight after police arrested one of the owners.

The man is accused of purposely destroying dozens of vials of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine.

“Shocking. To sum it up in one word. Shocking,” said Timothy Skow, another neighbor.

Skow lives a few doors down from the neighbor who used to work at the Advocate Aurora Hospital in Grafton as a pharmacist. Aurora fired him after police said he intentionally adulterated almost 600 doses of the Modern covid-19 vaccine, leaving them without refrigeration, rendering them useless.

He is now in Ozaukee County Prison on three separate criminal charges.

“For something like this to happen and vaccines to be tampered with. It’s a shame, ”said Windsor.

TMJ4 News went to the pharmacist’s house in the hope of speaking to anyone else who might live with him, but no one answered a knock on his door.

Despite a previously cordial relationship, Skow now has very strong feelings about his neighbor and the crimes he is accused of committing.

“You are a pharmacist, you know what this pandemic can do to people. I hope you sit in a cell and spend the rest of your life there, ”said Skow.

The charges against which the former pharmacist is imprisoned are first-rate, recklessly, risking security, adulterating a prescription drug and criminal property damage.

TMJ4 News contacted the Grafton police today for an update on the case, but received no response.

The charges against the pharmacist are expected to drop next week.
