Defensive tackle Damon Harrison was released by an NFC division champion on Tuesday and another claimed him on Wednesday.
Harrison was claimed by the Packers. He was with the Seahawks, but asked to terminate his contract as the team reduced its role to allow time for younger players.
Harrison signed with the training team in October and has played in the last six Seattle games. He had nine tackles and a forced fumble in those appearances.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Harrison said he planned to play for another team this year if he “can solve the logistics of this. ”He added that he would not do“ the resignation thing ”and that stance will now be put to the test.
UPDATE 17:40 ET: Harrison responded to a Twitter user who reflected that there were teams that Harrison would be willing to play with if he claimed exemptions by writing “Bingo”. This suggests that Harrison will be going to Wisconsin.
