Samsung Galaxy Note 10 gets Android 11 stable with One UI 3.0

As 2020 approaches its grand finale, Samsung has something special in store for Galaxy Note 10 owners: the sweet treatment of Android 11. According to the update schedule launched earlier this month, the Korean OEM planned to release the version One UI 3.0 stable for the Galaxy Note 10 line from January 2021. However, much to the surprise of device owners, the Android 11 update for the Galaxy Note 10 Exynos 4G and 5G variants is now available in several European countries.

Global variants with regular Galaxy Note 10 Exynos 9825 engine (model number SM-N970F) and his brother “Plus” (model number SM-N975F) are receiving the new update in Germany in the form of a software version N97xFXXU6ETLL. The latter’s 5G variant (model number SM-N976B) has also joined the list, although it has been updated with the software version N976BXXU6ETLL is available for download in the AUT and PHE regions, which are Samsung’s code for Switzerland and Spain, respectively. The new builds include all the new features that Google introduced in Android 11, along with several notable changes to Samsung’s One UI.

As expected, the new firmware features the Android 2020 security patches. However, there is no change in the bootloader version, which means that software-based downgrade is possible in theory.

We should see One UI 3.0 OTA coming out in more countries in the coming days and weeks. Although you can try to tinker with the Samsung Smart Switch to skip the queue and get the update now, tools developed by the XDA community, such as Frija or Samloader, make it much easier to download the new build directly from the company’s update server. If you are planning to perform a manual flashing, please note that the builds mentioned are not compatible with the Snapdragon Note 10 variants, ie the USA and Canada models.
