Texas Longhorns will be without senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger until the end of the Alamo Bowl game against the Colorado Buffaloes, when Ehlinger left the game due to a shoulder injury.

The senior captain was trying to win the fourth game of his career before leaving the game, passing 160 yards in 10 submissions and a touchdown in the first half. Ehlinger finished the first half of the final throw, but Casey Thompson left for the second half, a two-play touchdown for the Longhorns.
The second-year redshirt capped the Longhorns’ first attempt with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Joshua Moore, giving Texas a two-point lead.
Now Ehlinger will have to make a decision about his future after failing to finish the last game of the 2020 season and, perhaps, his career.
