Unused Cyberpunk 2077 monorail found in game

One player found an unfinished traffic system in Cyberpunk 2077, which appears to have been made to have more functionality.

While exploring Cyberpunk 2077, a player came across a Night City transit system that appears to have been created to offer much more functionality. If this serves as an example of cut content still persistent in the central game, it certainly wouldn’t be the first.

Thanks to one of Cyberpunk 2077’s With the most notable Cyberware upgrades, reinforced tendons, players were able to make use of a double jump skill that allows parkour-like movements around the map. This is especially interesting given that the RPG already had some kind of racing mechanics on the wall, a feature that CD Projekt RED left out due to the “design reasons. “Clearly, the remnants of what could have been another intriguing move option survive to some extent. And that doesn’t just apply to the racing gameplay on the removed wall.

When browsing the most recent open world on CD Projekt RED, Reddit Sybekul user (via PCGamesN) found a monorail system that led to a station called, “NCART” for “Fast traffic in the night city area. “The user’s post states that it was possibly a creation that the developer didn’t have time to finish. A look inside the station indicates why Redditor came to such a conclusion. On the one hand, the player was able to open the station door and enter, despite the unfinished state of the interior, the bottom floor of the station is incomplete, the roof is also in. In fact, a quick look at the roof shows some assets appearing and disappearing.

Evidently, this was the scenario that players should not encounter. But it may be something that will be expanded whenever CD Projekt RED starts exploring Cyberpunk 2077’s post-launch content previously provoked? Although a hidden message from the studio noted that the first of these DLCs will come in the form of free content in early 2021, it remains to be seen whether that is still the plan. Presumably, the timeline before launch did not take into account the exhaustive number of corrections needed to bring Cyberpunk 2077 for stable functionality on high-end hardware.

Since the latest CDPR project is so incredibly large, there is no way to say that other parts of the cut content can be seen in the game world. If there is more to discover in this regard, it may well hit the web eventually, mainly due to the large number of players who have ventured into the open world. A week after launch, and despite numerous performance issues, Cyberpunk 2077 exceeded 13 million copies sold.
