5 players that Seahawks should consider resting against 49ers in
Adams was a warrior of the Seahawks this season. He lost four games due to a groin injury, but has played with a shoulder injury and two broken fingers. 14. San Francisco 49ers: Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami
You can NEVER have many pass rushers. The best of the two numbers 15 of the last two years in Miami. Phillips is one of the country’s top recruits, and his production and tape this year show why. He’s all it takes to be a devastating pass rusher, and I personally believe he’s the best in the class.
Phillips is well built, long, explosive and flexible, with surprisingly advanced hands for someone who has never played much football. If it weren’t for the injuries, I believe he would be a possible choice among the top 5. However, the history of injuries that almost led him to retirement makes his draft stock as murky as standing water.
Whitner believes 49ers should go all-in for draft QB Fields
“This guy is mature, accurate and has the ability to take the attack to the next level,” said Whitner. “If I’m the general manager of 49ers, I’m coming up to be with Justin Fields.”
