A new year, a new list of films coming HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s streaming service that is finally fulfilling its potential to be a one-stop shop for all things DC Comics. Because in the midst of all the prestigious dramas and cold classics, there has been, until now, a lack of the beloved animated DC programs that aired during the 90s and early 2000s. But I’m here to tell you that Batman Beyond finally it will be broadcast – among other titles. Here are the best TV shows and movies to be released on HBO Max in January 2021.

Everyone bat Man animation programs and some of the films straight to video as well, but I felt the need to highlight Batman Beyond because of how banger this 1999 animation show was. Featuring a stylish gothic steampunk aesthetic and imagining a future in which an elderly Bruce Wayne entrusts the Batsuit to a fast-talking teenager, Batman Beyond put his own mark on Batman’s legacy that looked new, fresh and ultra-cool. Very schway.
Mad Max: Fury Road
What can I say? Mad Max: Fury Road it is a masterpiece of action. The septuagenarian George Miller showed all the young action filmmakers working today with their high octane 2015 Mad Max sequel, which starred Tom Hardy as the title character and Charlize Theron as one of the greatest action heroines of all time in cinema – making such an impact that a prequel without Theron is currently in the works. But there is nothing like watching a steel-eyed Theron using Hardy’s shoulder to steady his rifle in perfect Miller’s blow.
Mulholland Drive
Mulholland Drive It’s David Lynchthe strange and bizarre love letter to the City of Dreams, following Naomi Watts‘the cheerful aspiring actress Betty when she arrives in Los Angeles and befriends a beautiful woman with amnesia (Laura Elena Harring) called Rita. Noir finds soap in this seductive dream film, which began as one of the strangest TV pilots ever made.
Pushing Daisies
Bryan FullerThe fantasy comedy series that left too soon never got the acclaim it deserved, and even now it has been banned to the dark corners of the internet as a forgotten curiosity. But Pushing Daisies is an extravagant treat whose brief life makes the two-season series even sweeter, due in part to Fuller’s vibrant visuals and gonzo, super charming performances from Lee Pace, Kristen Chenowethand Anna Friel.
