Inside O Lost City of D, Channing Tatum waits dreaming. Or it will be soon, as the actor is reportedly in negotiations to join Sandra Bullock in Paramount’s romantic action comedy. According to Deadline, the actor would make a cover model for the novel (we can imagine Fábio’s wig now) accompanying Bullock’s reluctant and reluctant novelist on a book tour. As irritated as the author of Bullock may be, she will be even more irritated when “an attempted kidnapping takes them both on an unforgiving adventure in the jungle”, which takes them to the lost city. Fortunately, the film is a rom-com, so Bullock and his unlikely travel companion will no doubt discover that “life can be much stranger and more romantic than any of your pocket fictions”.
The film, which apparently intentionally resembles Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner with rom-com 1984 Romancing The Stone, will be written by Dana Fox, based on an idea by Seth Gordon, and directed by Adam and Aaron Nee, directors of 2006 The last romantic, 2015 Band of Thieves, It is the next Masters of the Universe movie.
