IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI / KIDK) – Idaho officials reported 554 new cases of COVID-19 and 5 new deaths on Saturday.
This brings the total of confirmed and probable cases reported since March to 135,787.
There are a total of 112,838 confirmed cases and 22,949 probable cases in all 44 of 44 Idaho counties, according to figures released by local health districts and the state. See the chart below.
The state said 9,673 doses of vaccines were administered.
Southeastern Idaho Public Health has 67 confirmed and probable new cases of COVID-19 and 1 new death in southeastern Idaho. You can see more HERE.
The SIPH COVID-19 risk level monitor has four categories: minimum, moderate, high and critical. Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Butte, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida and Power are all in the high risk category.
Eastern Idaho Public Health 63 new cases on Saturday. There are 30 new cases in Bonneville, 2 in Fremont, 12 in Jefferson, 14 in Madison and 5 in Teton. There are a total of 441 active cases. You can see more HERE.
The EIPH COVID-19 risk level monitor has four categories: minimum, moderate, high and critical. Bonneville and Madison are in the critical risk category. Teton and Jefferson are in the high risk category. Custer, Fremont and Lemhi are in the moderate risk category. Clark is in the category of minimal risk.
EIPH covers Bonneville, Clark, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison and Teton counties.
The hot spots so far this week are Ada, Kootenai, Canyon, Bonneville and Bannock counties.
The state is reporting that there are an estimated 53,574 recovered COVID-19 cases.
The average age of Idahoans with COVID-19 is 40.4 years old and ranges from 1 to 100 years old. The data exclude 55 people of unknown age.
The age group with the most cases is 18-29 with 34,328 cases.
The state reported that 35 new admissions were registered, bringing the total number to 5,392, and 6 new cases were admitted to the ICU, bringing the total to 984.
There are 6,966 asymptomatic reported cases and 6,629 cases among health professionals.
5 new deaths were reported, bringing the total number of deaths recorded to 1,354.
State officials say that deaths by age group are divided as follows:
- 2 people died aged 18 to 29 years
- 5 people died aged between 30 and 39 years
- 28 people died aged between 40 and 49 years
- 54 people who died were between 50 and 59 years old
- 181 people were between 60 and 69 years old
- 369 people were between 70 and 79 years old
- 715 people were over 80 years old
95.21% of deaths with known race were white. 0.82% of deaths with known race were Asian. 0.6% of deaths with known race were black or African-American, 1.8% American Indians / Alaskan natives and 1.57% were “other races / multiple races”. The race category for 15 deaths is pending.
89.63% of deaths with known race were non-Hispanic. 10.37% of deaths with known ethnicity were Hispanic. Ethnicity for 13 deaths is pending.
