Two weeks after its launch, a Cyberpunk 2077 the player discovered a feature that was apparently cut from the game.
Reddit user Sybekul shared a video of them discovering what appears to be a rail system for the game that was hacked before the game was released. Although the game currently includes trains, the feature cannot be used by players.
The clip shows Sybekul following the train tracks to a large train station that can be accessed, although it is incomplete, with floors, ceilings, walls and other textures missing. It is currently unclear whether the feature was cut to meet the game’s release date or was left intentionally incomplete to make the game’s universe look more realistic.
Check out the clip below.
it looks like they planned to have a fully functioning train system, but they couldn’t complete it in time! cyberpunkgame
Earlier this year, before the launch of the Cyberpunk 2077, developer CD Projekt RED announced that it would be cutting the wall execution mechanics that were being cut “due to design reasons”.
After the tumultuous launch of the game – which was plagued by bugs, crashes and low-resolution graphics on PS4 and Xbox One – a class action lawsuit was filed against the Polish developer.
In a press release, obtained by BusinessWire, Rosen Law Firm called Cyberpunk 2077 “Virtually impossible to play on Xbox or PlayStation systems of the current generation due to a huge number of bugs.”
The press release also noted that “the defendants’ statements about their business, operations and prospects were materially false and misleading and / or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times”.
CDPR has scheduled two major updates to the game, scheduled to arrive in January and February. The developer also released a hotfix last week that removed the 8MB limit for saving files on the PC and included improvements in memory management and stability for consoles.
