Chicago armed robbery frustrated because owner of concealed possession weapon kills suspect

A gun owner with a concealed license shot and killed a suspected armed robbery suspect in a Chicago cell phone store on Saturday night, according to police.

It was not clear whether the 29-year-old gun owner was the owner of the company, an employee or a customer, FOX 32 of Chicago reported.

The owner of the gun shot the armed suspect at least twice in the 7 pm incident, police told the police station. The suspect was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, FOX 32 reported.

Police confiscated the suspect’s and the gun owner’s weapons as part of their investigation, the news agency reported.

The incident occurred in the city’s Humboldt Park neighborhood, the report said. It was not clear how many people were inside the store at the time.
