The 37-year-old singer-songwriter revealed the heartbreaking details on Instagram with her 136,000 followers.

Despite her tragic loss, Branch noted that she and her family struggled to celebrate the holidays.
“But unfortunately, between the crying and the Christmas cookie spree, I decided to put on lipstick and a dress. We drank champagne all day. We had an amazing meal and sang Christmas songs snuggled up by a fireplace,” she wrote next to the photos. who show that she spends time with her husband, Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, as well as his sister Nicole and two children.

Counting the days until the New Year, Branch said she was “limping to the finish line”.

Branch is the mother of her 15-year-old daughter, Owen Isabelle Landau, whom she shares with ex-husband Teddy Landau.
