Two years after the original Project BBQ reveal, the game finally resurfaced at the 2020 Dungeon and Fighter Universe Festival yesterday via a new gameplay trailer over five minutes long.
The title Unreal Engine 4 developed by Neople Action Studio is the first fully 3D Dungeon Fighter Online game. Reddit user ‘dlwhdgns10’ took it upon himself to translate some of the relevant information from the BBQ Project trailer.
Expect to find Itrenok, Neiser, Numak and Ash Core.

The Black Cube, used throughout the presentation of Part 2, is a real object that exists within the Project BBQ universe.

Unfortunately, we don’t know anything else about the BBQ Project, but at least Nexon shared other announcements during yesterday’s Dungeon and Fighter UNiverse Festival. One is a fighting game spin-off ‘Dungeon & Fighter Duel’ that is being developed in collaboration with none other than Arc System Works, the renowned studio behind fighting game hits like Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, Dragon Ball FighterZ, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Granblue Fantasy Versus and the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive.
Finally, there is also a new mobile game Dungeon and Fighter in production. In terms of tradition, this will happen in a universe where Lotus, the Ruler of the Oceans, the Eighth Apostle of Pandemonium, is still alive.
