Boston doctor says he almost had to be INTUBED after suffering a severe allergic reaction to the Modern Covid vaccine – RT USA News

A doctor in Boston said he suffered one of the worst allergic reactions he has ever experienced after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine from Moderna, following a series of similar cases resulting from the Pfizer vaccine.

Dr. Hossein Sadrzadeh, a hematology and oncology researcher at Boston Medical Center, received the drug on Christmas Eve. The health professional, who has a strong allergy to seafood, said his heart raced after taking the vaccine. Initially, he thought his heart rate increase was due to the anxiety he felt about the vaccine, stemming from reports of serious medical episodes that occurred after people with allergies received the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.

However, he soon realized that he was suffering from something much more dangerous. Within minutes, Sadrzadeh’s tongue and throat began to tingle and go numb, a reaction he associated with his shellfish allergy. Even more worrying, his blood pressure dropped so low that it was not even detected by a monitor.

Fortunately, the doctor brought his own EpiPen, which he administered himself before the hospital staff rushed him to the emergency room. He received several medications, including steroids and Benadryl. A record of his visit to the hospital stated that he was admitted to the emergency room for “Shortness of breath, dizziness, palpitations and numbness after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.”

On Friday morning, he said he was feeling normal. But the doctor seemed to suggest that the episode could have been much more distressing if he hadn’t come prepared for the worst.

“I feel that if I didn’t have my EpiPen with me, I would be intubated now, because it was very serious,” he said, adding that it was the worst allergic reaction he had since the age of 11.

The doctor said he now recommends that people with allergies receive the vaccine in a hospital setting, rather than getting it from a local clinic or provider.

“I knew the symptoms. I had the experience. I was a doctor and I was scared to death. Imagine someone who doesn’t have the information ”, he noticed. Sadrzadeh offered Moderna a blood sample in an effort to help the company identify which ingredient in the vaccine may have triggered the allergic reaction.

“I really don’t want anyone to go and experience this and go through this event that I had,” he said.

The worrying case is the first of its kind to be linked to the Moderna jab. Officials from the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating at least six cases of severe allergic reactions occurring in people who have received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. However, it is still being determined whether any ingredient in the vaccine is responsible for health episodes.
