The next phase in the development of Heat All-Star Center Bam Adebayo may be improving his kick-making and veteran point guard Goran Dragic he must still have a big role for the club, even when he returns to the super-sub role he had before the Heat’s finals played this summer and fall, by Athletic’s Seth Partnow and Dave DuFour.
Partnow and DuFour also wonder whether the incredible 34-year-old Dragic race during Orlando’s resumption in 2020, including a laceration in the playoffs, was a spot on the radar or could be played this season.

- Tyler Herro supplanted Dragic as the Heat’s titular point guard in his second season, as Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald details. Dragic started on point for most of the 2020 NBA playoffs.
- Newly extended Magic players Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac are excited about the opportunity to contribute to Orlando’s growth as a club, according to Roy Parry of Orlando Sentinel. “Not everyone stretches, and being part of that group … and being with that organization, that means everything to me,” Said Isaac. “I love the coaching staff. I love the team. I love that they believe me, and they believe it because I believe in myself. “ Isaac is expected to miss the entire 2020/21 season with a left ACL injury.
- O Hornets will be forced to fight a little after losing the starting center Cody Zeller for four to six weeks with a fractured left hand, according to Rick Bonnell of Charlotte Observer. While Bismack Biyombo likely to receive approval as a replacement for Zeller at five, Bonnell hopes the head coach James Borrego to lean more into small ball formations that would show 6’7 ″ forward PJ Washington in the center and Miles Bridges on forward power.
