Visa continues to ban Pornhub, but will allow payments on some of its parent company’s sites

“After a thorough review, Visa will reinstate acceptance privileges for MindGeek sites that offer professionally produced adult studio content that is subject to requirements designed to ensure compliance with the law,” said Visa in a statement.

This happened after Visa temporarily suspended purchases on Pornhub earlier this month after allegations made in a New York Times report on child abuse and non-consensual activities on the site. The credit card company says the temporary ban on Pornhub and other MindGeek platforms is still in effect until the ongoing investigation is finalized.

The Times report described recordings on the Pornhub website that included assaults by unconscious women and girls and videos of naked underage girls. Pornhub denied these charges, calling them “irresponsible and blatantly false”.

Since then, credit card companies, including MasterCard (BAD) and To discover (DFS) they cut financial ties to the site and banned customers from making purchases on its platform.
Pornhub took action in response to the allegations, removing millions of explicit videos from unverified senders on its platform. Removals are part of your efforts to enact more security measures to prevent child abuse material on your website. His most recent move resulted in a decrease in videos on his website from 13.5 million to about less than 3 million.

Now, says Pornhub, only content submitted by verified users will be allowed.
