Trent Reznor beats ex-friend Marilyn Manson

Trent Reznor spoke out against former collaborator and friend Marilyn Manson after allegations made to Manson by ex-fiancé Evan Rachel Wood.

Reznor, who had previously scolded the gothic rocker, once again vehemently denied an assertion in Manson’s 1998 autobiography, “The Long Hard Road Out of Hell”, that Manson and Reznor allegedly physically and sexually assaulted a drunk woman in the 1990s .

“I have spoken openly over the years about my dislike of Manson as a person and I have severed relations with him for almost 25 years. As I said at the time, the Manson memoir passage is a complete invention, ”Reznor, 55, said in a statement to Pitchfork. “I was furious and offended when it was released and I continue to do so today.”

In 2009, the Nine Inch Nails frontman also described Manson as a “stupid clown” in an interview with Mojo.

“He’s a malicious guy and will step on anyone’s face to succeed and cross any line of decency,” said Reznor of his former protégé. “Seeing him now, drugs and alcohol now rule his life and he has become a stupid clown.”

Following allegations of abuse by Wood and other women this week, Manson’s record company abandoned him.

The “Sweet Dreams” musician, 52, denied the women’s claims on Instagram, writing: “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with partners with similar interests. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth. “

Meanwhile, police raided Manson’s LA home on Wednesday night after they received a call requesting a welfare check for him. A representative later assured officers that Manson – whose real name is Brian Warner – was fine and simply did not want to leave the house because of the media presence.
