Tony Dungy started his career as a head coach with the Buccaneers and still calls Tampa home. But he won a Super Bowl in Indianapolis with Peyton Manning and could have won more than one if it weren’t for Tom Brady, who played for the Patriots and now plays for the Bucs.
After Dungy left Brady out of his top five most difficult defenders to defend, Brady responded on Tuesday night by posting a photo of the Colts 2014 AFC Finalist Banner.
Brady was always good at counterattacks.
The league’s three-time MVP and the Super Bowl’s four-time MVP said he wasn’t stingy.
“I went just having fun. I was just referring to him as Indy’s head coach, not the Bucs’ head coach, ”said Brady when asked about his tweet via ESPN’s Jenna Laine video. “So it was nothing personal. Coach Dungy knows that I love him. I was just giving him a little sadness.
“He gave me a little sadness. I gave him a little sadness. It was all good fun. “
Brady, who won six Super Bowls with the Patriots, is 15-4 in his career against the Colts, including 4-1 in the postseason. Against Colung’s team coached by Dungy, Brady was 5-3 and 2-1 in the postseason.
