The Cyberpunk 2077 mod offers V a group of companions

Cyberpunk 2077 it’s a fun RPG, but it can be a little lonely. With some exceptions for certain missions, and the occasional appearance of Johnny Silverhand, V is more on his own in his missions for Night City. But a new fan-made mod aims to fix that by giving V a cast of companions wherever he goes. This mod was created by the user SiJiaoCunDeDaZhuangJi on Nexus Mods and is called Judy-River-Saul-Takemura Companion Game Save.

With this mod, playing Cyberpunk 2077 it looks more like a BioWare game, because you’re rolling around with a whole group. That said, it is not the most polished experience. The creator of the mod warns users about some hiccups that they may encounter in the description of the mod.

Saul will follow you even if you teleport. (that is, you cannot get rid of it by teleportation.)

Judy, River and Takemura don’t. They will be in the same place where you use the teleportation station. But they won’t disappear, so you can go back and pick them up later (maybe with your car, for convenience). I personally prefer to drop them off at V’s apartment when I don’t need their companions.

There are certain jobs that payers can complete to send their new party member home. For example, completing the Ex-factor will reset Judy and she will no longer follow V around. This also comes with a level 50 male V, so it’s not the same as playing from scratch and collecting teammates.

However, it is interesting to see how Cyberpunk 2077 modders are stretching the game and adding fun news. The first wave of useful mods focused mainly on fixing little things in the game, such as the meticulous minimap or the game’s steering controls. As modders spend more time on their projects and learn the limits of Cyberpunk 2077, we will probably see more fun mods like this. For now, it’s cool to be able to roll around Night City with my best friends.
