Google distributed some giveaways on Stadia in an effort to get players on the service, one of the most notable being a $ 10 coupon for those who tried the platform. This $ 10 coupon from Stadia expires next week, on January 1st, but luckily anyone who hasn’t used it now has a big reason to take advantage of the discount.
Update 31/12: As a reminder, Stadia’s $ 10 coupon expires tonight, but all of those sales are still active. Today is also the last day to redeem some of the games that come out of Stadia Pro, including GYLT, Risk of Rain 2 and others. These games will only remain playable if you claim them before the January 1 (PT) date.
Available in the past few months, Google has distributed a $ 10 automatic coupon to any Stadia user who has or has ever had Stadia Pro, even if it was just using the free version. It’s a big deal that has lowered the price of a game for many new users on the platform, but if you still have that discount, it’s about to expire.
On the morning of January 1st, the $ 10 coupon will expire completely, so you need to use it on something from the Stadia Store between now and December 31st. Notably, the coupon only works for new games, not for game add-ons or an extra month of Pro.
Fortunately, Google is doing more to lower the cost of new games on Stadia. Starting today and until January 6, Google is slashing prices for Stadia games across the store. Not all games on the service have discounts, but there are many games with discounts, especially if you are a subscriber to Stadia Pro.
