On Wednesday night, wrestling fans were in for a surprise, watching NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal lead to the AEW ring. He teamed up with Jade Cargill to face Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet.

Before the match, Rhodes mentioned what his opponent’s weakness would be.

When it was finally time for the event, the 2.10-meter, 365-pound retired NBA player made his grand entrance in front of a limited crowd. The fans applauded O’Neal when he joined his teammate and took the stage.

Take a look at your introduction:

Anyone on Shaq’s path has been eliminated.

“Shaquille O’Neal hit home!”

O’Neal’s sheer size and strength were on display as he ran this energy pump.

O’Neal withdrew Rhodes with ease.

It didn’t take long for Shaq to find himself hitting two tables, lying on the floor surrounded by broken tables for a while after the coup.

It seems that Buffalo is not the only place where tables are destroyed by people who jump over them.

After O’Neal sold him out like he was knocked out, he was put in an ambulance and, oh, wait a minute! He escaped!

Viewers, in general, loved the addition of O’Neal and found the role well reserved.

Here are some reactions from the night:
