Sabrina Carpenter is establishing the correct record.
The 21-year-old singer took to Instagram on Sunday (January 24) to share a statement about her new song “Skin”, saying she did not write a “cover song” about Olivia Rodrigo and his new song “Driver’s License”.
Here is some basic information: fans have created the theory that the 17-year-old singer / actress wrote “Driver’s license” about Sabrina and your current boyfriend Joshua Bassett, who is it Oliviaco-star in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
Olivia sings in his song, “and you are probably with that blonde girl, who always made me doubt”.
When Sabrina released her song “Skin”, many fans believed she was mocking Olivia, specifically with the lyrics, “Maybe then we could pretend / There is no gravity in the words we write / Maybe you didn’t mean it / Maybe ‘blonde’ was the only rhyme.”

“Thanks to everyone who heard skin 🤍 especially those who opened their minds to lyrically what I was trying to convey,” Sabrina started.
