Nintendo’s Switch year in the review shows how much time you spent avoiding 2020

Every December, companies like Spotify and Tiktok give you access to an overview that shows how you used their services over the past year. Nintendo is one of these companies. Now that we are only a few days away from 2021, the gaming giant has turned its Switch annual accounting tool for 2020 live. Like the 2019 version, it will reveal the Switch games that took up most of your time in recent months. It will also let you know how many hours you have played so far, so you can compare it to last year and find out how much more time you spent playing in the middle of COVID-19 locking.

This year’s review also includes a list of your most played games, which dictates the results you get in the panel that shows what type of player you have been this year. You can then download a graphic from the panel that you can share on social media. In my case, I got “Nintendo Fan”, because I mostly played titles published by the company. Other Engadget editor who most played Animal Crossing New Horizons got “Getaway Traveler” to realize “the potential of fate”. This is what the divisible image looks like:
