LG slowly starts to launch its 2021 OLED and 4K LCD TVs

Last month, LG officially withheld coverage of its 2021 TV programming during the CES 2021 virtual event, and now the company is announcing the start of its global launch. This includes its new high-end LCD line of QNED 4K and 8K TVs that combine quantum dot technology with Mini LED backlighting and an interesting set of OLED options for the new year.

On top of their OLED TVs, the G1 series includes evo OLED panel technology that must have better brightness and whites than we saw before, while its main C1 line includes options ranging from 48 to 83 inches in size. For many people, however, the most interesting items are at the bottom, where options B1 and A1 can make OLED TVs available at lower prices than ever before.

We still don’t have all the details about these cheaper devices, but all the TVs in its 2021 line, including the A1, include eARC and ALLM features, even if they don’t have HDMI 2.1. We also have a photo of the A1 that we didn’t buy before (shown above), so if you’re planning to buy one, make sure you have space for ample spacing in your booth.

The first 2021 LG OLED and LCD TVs are being launched this quarter, although it has not yet been announced where and when. The question of how much each will cost is still unanswered for US buyers, although LG has announced the price of some models in Germany.

FlatpanelsHD highlights that the C1 and G1 models are set to be launched in April, with the A1 line being marketed later. The price in Europe for a 55-inch C1 and G1 is € 2,000 and € 2,400, respectively. These convert to $ 2,420 and $ 2,914, but the US price will certainly be lower. What can be most notable is that prices are € 200 and € 100 higher than where similar 2020 models started, although we have to wait for an official MSRP to know what will be transferred when these models arrive in the USA.
