Furious man without mask denied food service and returns with gun to steal fried chicken and waffles

The man did not ask for money and even brought syrup to the food before leaving.

A man who was denied service for not wearing a mask at a fried chicken restaurant reportedly returned with a gun and raised the kitchen before stealing fried chicken and waffles.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:37 pm at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffle House in Pasadena, California, according to ABC News KABC’s Los Angeles station.

The man then left the restaurant and actually returned, but this time he appeared at the rear of the establishment with a gun.

“He comes right at me with a gun, pointing at me and saying to put all the chicken in the bag,” said cook Robert Gonzalez, who was working in the kitchen when the suspect came in, in an interview with KABC after the incident.

Manager Angela Prieto said she neither accepted nor demanded money from the restaurant – just chicken and waffles.

“He didn’t take any money,” said manager Angela Prieto. “He really got chicken and before he left the door, he got chicken sauce.”

Prieto told KABC that the entire incident, while entertaining in retrospect, was frightening while it was happening.

“They were scared, especially my cashier,” said Prieto. “She was very, very scared. And when I spoke to her for the first time, she was basically hysterical, but after a while she calmed down and started laughing because she realized that all he was doing was getting some chicken.”

In an ironic twist, surveillance cameras were able to capture images of the man’s face due to the fact that he was not wearing a mask.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the suspect is described as “a black man in his 30s or 40s with a thin build, curly black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his neck and face … He was last seen time wearing a green and white sweatshirt with black polka dots. His companion was described as a Latin man with a shaved head, measuring between 5 feet and 4 and 5 feet and weighing around 150 pounds. “

No one was injured in the incident, but the man who robbed the establishment is still at large.

“I was almost shot for stupidity, I think,” Gonzalez told KABC.
