Despite a report on Sunday that Carson Wentz wants to leave if he will lag behind Jalen Hurts in the Eagles’ quarterback depth chart, coach Doug Pederson said Wentz hasn’t been a problem since becoming a reserve.
“Listen, this is something I really appreciate about Carson, how he handled it. He doesn’t want to be a distraction for the team. He wants to help the team win. This is the result ”, said Pederson, through the Philadelphia Inquirer. “We don’t allow that kind of thing to penetrate our thinking and we try to keep him out of the locker room so as not to divide his team.”
Pederson said there were no interruptions in the team regarding the change of defender.
“This is something that Carson did not allow to happen,” said Pederson. “And he is not going to let that happen. He’s a professional at that. “
Wentz’s bad game and big contract are a big problem for the Eagles. But this is a problem for the off-season. At the moment, Pederson says there is no problem.
