On Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced Sandra Scully, wife of legendary presenter Vin Scully, died Sunday at the age of 76.

“Sandra has been battling ALS neuromuscular disease for the past few years,” explained the ad.

“We are sad to hear of the passing of Sandra Scully, Vin’s loving wife and a dear member of the Dodger family,” said Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten. “Sandi was Vin’s biggest fan and was always there to support him lovingly at Dodger Stadium until she started her battle with ALS. She was truly the rock of Vin and the Scully family, and she will be sorely missed.”

Alden Gonzalez ESPN noted that the Scullys have been married for 47 years.

Vin was the voice of the Dodgers for 67 years and became synonymous with summer broadcasts before retiring after the 2016 season. His distinctive voice provided the soundtrack for a lot of Major League Baseball history.

He cited moments like Bill Buckner’s infamous mistake in the 1986 World Series and Hank Aaron’s 715 home run record.

Sandra leaves Vin, six children, 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
