Round 1: Canelo pretends and Yildirim tries to reach with a punch. Canelo’s left hook touches the body. Canelo tries another hook that Yildirim partially blocks, then Canelo hits the body again with his right hand. Strong left hook hits Canelo, the referee says he swerved down. Canelo gives two jabs up the stairs while Yildirim keeps a firm guard. Another left hook hits the body for Canelo. Yildirim misses ugly on his own left hook on his body. The right hand lasts down to Canelo, then a left hook to the head. Yildirim loses in three jabs. Yildirim strikes the body this time. Canelo bends over his left hand this time and, moments later, throws another right into the body. Cinnamon 10-9.
2nd round: Yildirim’s jab is blocked. Canelo misses a blow upstairs. Uppercut hits Canelo in the chin, pushing Yildirim away. Another Canelo scoring uppercut. Now Canelo throws a hard punch followed by a left hook to the body. Yildirim on the defensive early and still being touched up. Three punches come from Canelo while Yildirim covers himself. Canelo digs up to the body with a left hook again. The left is hard for the body to land again for Canelo, then another. The right uppercut hits Canelo this time. This has been target practice at the start of the fight. Yildirim throws his right hand at the body. The hard right hits Canelo, then a left hook up there. Canelo 10-9, 20-18.
Round 3: Yildirim’s face appears marked on the left side between rounds. Canelo tries with a few jabs and then tries a hook behind him. Canelo’s right hook is blocked. The left is hard for the body to fall back to Canelo. Right hook scores for Canelo on the body, Yildirim hits on his own body shot, BUT CANELO LANDS TWO SHOTS TO THE HEAD AND LAUNCHES YILDIRIM DOWN! Yildirim is on his feet, but takes two hard blows to the liver. Yildirim on the ropes and shooting Canelo. Yildirim throws a counter-hook, but gets kicked in the head. Yildirim is injured in the body by repeated injections in the liver. Canelo’s left hook lands on the top floor. Yildirim tries a hook on the body, but hits two from Canelo. Yildirim does not seem very resistant now. Cinnamon 10-8.
Round 4: Yildirim’s coach Joel Diaz is already threatening to end the fight if Yildirim doesn’t change things immediately. Wow, it looks like the fight was stopped in the corner before the fourth round started. Cinnamon TKO-3.
