BREAKING: Disneyland ending the annual pass holder program and canceling all annual passes

Disneyland Resort is officially canceling the Annual Passholder program, while theme parks remain closed indefinitely.

Ken Potrock, president of Disneyland, issued the following statement:

Due to the continuing uncertainty of the pandemic and the limitations surrounding the reopening of our California theme parks, we will issue appropriate refunds for Disneyland Resort annual passports and terminate the current program.

In a message to Annual Pass holders, he also said the following:

I know that closing the Annual Passport program will be a disappointment to many of our passport holders, who are just as eager as we are to reopen our gates and welcome guests back when the time is right.

We are also very excited about what is to come. We plan to use this time while remaining closed to develop new membership offers that will use consumer insights to offer options, flexibility and value to our biggest fans.

Annual pass holders will be refunded and future membership offers are in progress. All Annual Pass holders who had active passes on March 14, 2020 will still be able to receive discounts on merchandise, food and drinks at open locations in the Downtown Disney District and Buena Vista Street. Annual pass holders who receive a refund will receive a separate confirmation email. Guests with Premier Passport with access to Disneyland and Walt Disney World will receive a refund for Disneyland when the pass is discontinued.
