Danger! executive producer Mike Richards announced the newest lineup of guest presenters, listing Anderson Cooper, Savannah Guthrie, Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Sanjay Gupta as the latest television personalities set to lead the question-and-answer program.
Joining Bill Whitaker, Mayim Bialik, Katie Couric and Aaron Rodgers, the newly announced guest hosts will assume the position of master of ceremonies following the death of Alex Trebek. As part of each host’s time on the show, Danger! make a donation to a charity of your choice. The amount donated will be equal to the accumulated earnings of competitors who compete during the weeks in which they act as guest hosts.
“We hope that each guest host brings their unique skills to the program and that our competitors earn a lot of money that we can match for charity,” said Richards.
Although most of the newly announced presenters did not appear on the question and answer program, Cooper previously competed in Jeopardy! Tournament of powerful players in 2012 and 2016.
After Trebek’s death in November, Danger! Former student Ken Jennings and Richards alternated as hosts. Jennings initially joined the current season as a consulting producer.
